Aurora Flight Services has completed the test wing section for the Vulture Program.  The wing spans 22 feet and is made advanced composites and light weight adhesives.  The top of the wing is covered in solar cells to help power the prototype Vulture aircraft.

When combined with Boeing’s commitment to carbon fiber structures, Auroras new manufacturing techniques reveals the type of future demand for aircraft fasteners.  Hi-Lok fasteners have always delivered a significant tensile strength for their weight but this new revolution may even threaten their market dominance.
